from 7:00 - 9:00 pm

Sound Pioneer and Recording Artist Richard Rudis (Sonam Dorje) creates transformational waves of sound bathing for each participant with the rising and falling rythyms, tonalities and vibrations of a huge earth gong tuned to the sound of the primordial AUM - 'the Universal chord'; the vibrational signature of our mother earth (Ghia) as it dances with our sun (Sol).

A sojourn into vibrational sound healing. An Gong Bath is an unforgettable event to soothe, inspire, heal and awaken your spirit. Transformational sound waves of the Gong blend/bath with rising and falling rhythms, tonalities and multi-tonal octaves of healing vibrations. *Yoga of Recovery™ integrates the wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda with the tools of 12-Step Recovery, for all who are looking to overcome or better understand self-destructive and addictive tendencies. We’ll explore the roots of our destructive behavior through the 6 tenets of Yoga of Recovery, through which we build a new path towards health, love and spiritual progress. The 6 tenets are, Life is…Longing, Prana, Relationship, Sweet, Love and Progress.*

*Jai Uttal will lead Kirtan* - chanting the ecstatic songs of ancient India. This call-and-response singing invokes a space of prayer and heartfelt expression where we are able to come into contact with the wide palette of feelings inside of us and to begin to freely express them and share them with others. Rather than being obstacles in our path, these emotions become the fuel to connect us to the Spirit. This deep river of surrender and prayer is known as Bhakti Yoga, the Yoga of devotion or personal relationship with the divine. No previous experience is needed. This is an exploration of our heartfelt relationship with a Higher Power, independent of vocal or musical technique.

*Jai Uttal,* a sacred music composer, recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, and ecstatic vocalist, combines influences from India with influences from American rock and jazz, creating a stimulating and exotic multi-cultural fusion that is truly world spirit music. Having traveled extensively in India, where he met many beautiful saints and singers, Bhakti yoga became his personal path. Jai has been leading kirtans around the world for more than 30 years, creating a safe environment for people to open their hearts and voices. His latest CD /Thunder Love/ was just released by Nutone Records. http://www.jaiuttal.com

*Durga* is the founder of Yoga of Recovery ^R , a comprehensive program that integrates Ayurveda and Yoga with recovery tools for a holistic mind, body and spirit approach for all those affected by addiction and self-destructive behaviors. Durga, RYT-500, is a Clinical Ayurvedic and Pancha Karma Specialist, trained at the California College of Ayurveda and also in Kerala, India. She is the Director of the Ayurveda Programs at the Sivananda Ashram in California and a professional member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA). She is also a member of Yoga Alliance and International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT). She is also extensively trained in Meditation and Vedanta. www.yogaofrecovery.com

In his foreword, Jack Kornfield likens these succinct, gem-like poems to "a wonderfully crafted set of prayer beads, lovingly fashioned and illuminated in words."
He writes this because, just as there are 108 earthly desires, 108 human feelings, and 108 delusions, there are also 108 beads in the traditional meditation mala used by spiritual practitioners throughout the East. And so there are 108 poems in this expertly chosen collection, each containing the thought-, feeling-, and delight-provoking words of poets, sages, and saints from around the world.
From an anonymous Navajo to William Blake, from St. Catherine of Siena to China's Wu-Men, these poets speak from the heart and to the heart of our eternal, universal yearning for wisdom and love.
